Biography
Born in 1969, Claudiu Presecan studies at “Ioan Andreescu” Art Academy from Cluj-Napoca, where he obtains his MFA’s degree in 1995. Afterwards he devotes himself to full-time painting. Present in salons and group exhibitions even since1984, he opens his first personal exhibition in 1991. He has been exposing his works in personal and group exhibitions, salons and international art fairs across Europe and America ever since.
In 1997 he becomes a member of the Plastic Artists Union of Romania and in 2004 his talent and merits were recognized by being awarded the Cultural Praiseworthy Medal, offered by the Romanian Presidency. An artist with impressionist and abstract influences, Presecan’s style is constantly evolving. While he remains true to his Transylvanian roots, Presecan’s maturing works celebrate nature in all its aspects, as well as the spiritual connection between man and nature through faith.
Exhibitions of Presecan's works have captivated art lovers in various locations such as France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, USA, Canada, Israel, Greece, South Africa, Hungary, Italy and Romania, where his paintings can be found in private and public collections.
