Biography
Li Giada Abbiati was born in Milan on November 16,1975, city where she earns a degree in set-design at
the Accademia di Belle Arti. Her interest in art and design brings her to explore several elds ranging from
illustration to comics, from painting to sculpture.
She attends Ettore Maiotti’s School of Illustration.
She illustrates the Illy-Cafè catalogue.
She creates sketches for Joylab, event agency.
She creates models for Colart using acrylic, oil paint and watercolour.
She participates with the video “frammenti” in the lm exhibition “Video Zero” curated by Francesco Ballo.
She designs the set for the play Looking for Godot , directed by Mario Migliara.
Signs the illustrations for the Microsoft publicity campaign.
Realizes polystyrene sculptures with Guido Buganza for the play “Orco Loco” produced by
Teatro Franco Parenti, Milano.
Starting from her experience in theatre and set-design she continues her artistic research, progressively
identifying a personal style and theme.
She partecipates in the collective “ Shadows without bodies”, exhibition promoted by NHNC,
No Human No Cry. Cox Gallery, Milano, May 2007.
In Catania she curates her rst artistic event. From her acquaintance with the artist Alessandro Arena
she conceives an event of interaction between video and sound.
The digitalized images of her work, projected on white canvases, interact with live music composed especially.
From the Catania experience she conceives her new exhibits/shows/concerts opening to contamination
with other arts.
