The reality that I show in my works, is the view of the natural world, seen from above. The landscapes are portraits of places taken by mind with declined and changeable air, involving abstraction and figuration and the curious attitude of those who want to know, paying attention to the pitfalls, with the mind wrapped in their own vision, through bright colours, full of vibrations that animate a pictorial, rigorous and robust sign. The painting is thus an intermediate stage where the image is still recognizable, but irreparable transformed, or even split into a personal vision, more lyrical.
The imaginative journey is an excavation of the surface into the material depth of the landscape. The sight from the top is a stratification of land, rivers and seas, with places of identification but also of loss, forms belonging to the pictorial material. The landscape is rooted in the unfathomable geology of the earth, with the anguishes and tremors that the soul has in the present of the mysterious force of nature.
Seen from the sky, the thin skin that covers the places is a bright veil, torn here and there; from these rifts we can see a surface, now white, now yellow, now green, now blue: lands above sea level.
Seen from its depths, the land is a mysterious world, crossed by fantastic visions, first photographed or found in magazines, then processed and changed according to my thoughts. Seen by a man, the world is a strip of land that appears on the horizon, it is a hold full of treasures coming from new worlds. It is the border between past and future, between a real life and a lost time.
