Biography
Stefano Ruzzante (ww stefanoruzzante it) was born in Milan in 1967.
At four or five he used to observe Raimondo Giovanetti painting in his studio in an old courtyard where his grandparents were living.
Observation of things and architectural studies led him to acquire a passion for photography, developed in the early Nineties thanks to his father’s old analogical Minolta, dedicating himself to black-and-white photography, architectures and urban landscape.
Since 2007, using a new model of digital reflex camera, he began a phase of naturalistic research on portrait and the impressionistic potential of light and colour. Hence the "Corpore et Anima" project, that reveals a total expressive empathy with the subject of the image: corporeity becomes the soul of vision. The environment amplifies the emotion towards the eye of the beholder.
