Biography

Eva Comuzzi was born in 1977 and she lives in Rivignano (UD). She is an independent curator.
A graduate in “Conservation of Cultural Heritage” at the University of Udine, she later attended the “Course for Curators” at the A + A Gallery in Venice and between 2007 and 2008 the Master's Degree in “Design, Construction and Maintenance of Contemporary Visual Arts” (IACC), organised by DAMS Gorizia. In the same year she is part of a project for a study on the documentation of a complex installation at the ASAC and 52. Venice Biennale. From January to July 2006 she was assistant to the artistic director of the department of music and dance at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine.
She has collaborated with the magazines Exibart, sullarte and Genius and with the publishers Vanilla Editions, SilvanaEditoriale and Damiani. From 2003 to 2011 she worked as assistant curator and head of the education department at the GC.AC - Galleria Comunale d'Arte Contemporanea di Monfalcone, and from September 2011 to June 2012 as co-curator of a project of painting residencies at the Guado dell'Arciduca, an 18th century villa in the countryside of Friuli. She has worked with private galleries and public spaces such as the Mole Vanvitelliana (Ancona), the Gallery of Modern Art (San Marino), and the Gate of St. Augustine (Bergamo).
She collaborates with the no-profit organisation for contemporary art white.fish.tank in Ancona, for which since 2010 she has written several essays on the work of artists such Jurgen Ots, Petra Feriancova, Scott Treleaven, Patrizio Di Massimo and Shana Moulton.
