Biography
He was born and lives in Brescia. He began to photograph around 1980, after about a year and almost 3000 slides, dissatisfied with the limits of color, is definitely switched over to Black and White that has not abandoned, developing and printing in person and in their own manufacturing the chemicals needed according to formulas adapted to the desired images. For a variety of personal events, in early 2000, abandoned the chemist and purchased a scanner, started the adventure digital, before scanning the negatives, especially now in color, converted to black and white in post-production with a well-known image-editing program , then purchased a digital SLR, entered in full sail in the new system.
Use of the software tries to rigorously apply the techniques Darkroom, areas, contrast, selective control of exposure, double exposure and anything else of the old procedures can be transferred to digital. Has found particular satisfaction in the use of large plotter (Epson 4000 and 7600), adapted for printing in Black and White inks with Piezography American Coal Producers and MIS inks and Italian PhotoActivity. Currently printing with a large plotter Canon IPF 6400 with curves and ICC profiles, all optimized on the axis of gray, made personally by the spectrophotometer Barbers SpectroSwing and Software Argyll. He has exhibited in several solo and group and for two years he taught the course basic print in BW at the Museo Ken Damy of Brescia.
