Biography
Stefano Ricci was born in Forlì in 1970 , he graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna where he later follows the teaching qualifications in art and image .
Following an early start painting characterized by influences neoespressioniste , continues his research devoted to video and performance by participating in the founding of the group " gommismo " work, producing behaviors that are not always allowed in both places as conventional art galleries : the Gam Bolgna , Paolo Nanni gallery as inside the Art Fair , Venetian blinds up at the Biennale , but also in places belonging to the newspaper (squares, bus, landfills ) from 1993 until 1999.
Present in solo and group exhibitions in the years to follow he returned to painting and multimedia installations dealing with the issues related to the anthropological changes , then arriving at the next cycle of paintings "post- rails" (for which he won in 2000 the first edition of the Carmen Silvestroni Forli ) .
In the last few years working on the project " new worlds in the making " a series of paintings , sculptures and video installations related to the topic of the fragments of things and experiences accumulated and processed through the use of technology combined with traditional instruments of art.
