Biography
The work of Marie Edinger Plum is based on an interest in various modern and historical intangible cultural phenomena with extreme visual identity. In her work she questions the contemporary abundance of cultural expressions using past or extinct languages in a contemporary context.
Plum mainly works with installation, sculpture, light, sound, video and performance.
In the work process she is committed to working with the clash in the materials’ composition.
The primary content she wants to convey is something beautiful alluring, which also degrades itself, in a sensual work that is tangible, poetic and metaphysical.
With interesting clashes in the composition of past and present, the personal andthe impersonal space.
