Biography

I had the good luck to make the acquaintance of Davide Manfredi, a former agent of Helmut Newton in Italy. In his agency I handled the iconographic part of the artist’s work (photo editor) interacting with various publishing houses. I was also responsible for the management and sale of the German artist’s work, acting fori nstitutions or private collectors. On top of this, Davide and I worked on the magazine “Tribal Art” and the sale of primitive artwork, for which we had a shared passion, in the countries of the main markets for this (France, Belgium, United Kingdom, United States). Every year, we would organize three stands (San Francisco, New York, Brussels) at the main international trade fairs for tribal art. Specifically, we were involved in the trade of artefacts of considerable economic and cultural importance.

During the period of my collaboration with Davide Manfredi, I worked for publisher Technè Editore, being involved in the exhibition “Fiume Metafisico”, at the National Museum of Musical Instruments, in Rome. Here, more than in any other job, I developed the skills needed to work as part of a team, learning the importance of project planning and implementation and coming to understand its different causes and effects.
I was part of the editorial team at MadeWS, a two-monthly magazine on photography, architecture and design. My work involved the publication of reviews and reading and selection of articles from our various collaborators. The editorial decisions for each edition were taken jointly by the team and the Director and Head Editor. It was around this that my collaboration with Muse and Dazed and Confused began.
