Biography
Mitzifiri Stavroula - Mist, has born on September 21, 1981, in Athens, Greece.
Mist is a painter and a graphic designer, focuses all her life on a philosophical approach in every form and emotion around her. Her art deals with the mechanisms of human perception and the sacred truth inside us. With a mystical aura she tries to communicate forms from Greek ancient spirit. Symbolisms and semiology is her divine path. The Allegory of Plato's Cave is deep inside in all her artistic view.
Mist has been awarded with degree from Middlesex University with Athenian Artistic and Technological Group – AKTO certificate with Diploma of higher education in graphic design.
As a teenager she has a Diploma of participation in Hellenic student contest of Ancient Drama & Contemporary Theater (Greek Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs) & 2nd prize winner.
Mist has participated on group exhibitions in Greece, at Regents Park Of London and she has the honor to be chosen to take a part to the X-Florence Biennale Art & the Polis 2015 Exhibition.
Artist Statement:
Contemplative emotions based upon knowledge and feelings draw presence ’figure and idea’
May be they want to connect to the union related to our whole existence; individuality; entirety. Conversing logic you can feel how live – write - there operates. It is the link to the prototype. It is associated with the dreams and the delusions but it is not a fraud, metamorphosing deceitful through our senses. Straight lines or curves, horizontal and solid shapes are all appealing. Simplicity - modesty of joy and apotheosis determining that painting can impact us deeply.
