Biography

Marcello Mazzella studied sculpture at the Fine Arts Academy Brera of Milan. In 1988 he founded in Switzerland, with other three artists, the multimedia group AIEP, to make art with new media.
In 1993 he moved to New York; collaborating with Nam June Paik and Shigeko Kubota in many projects for shows and video installations. In 1996 he registered his first web domain using it as an artistic virtual laboratory. In 2005 he founded the non-profit organization Digart, to promote and realize art with science and advanced technology. He has exhibited in various prestigious spaces like White Columns, Artists Space, and Art in General in New York, Art Festivals and other public and private spaces in Europe and Brazil.
