Biography

I’m a painter (oil on canvas) and every painting is a learning.
In the early 2000s, I followed during two years the painting class of the artist Arnaud Seynaeve, rather classic painter (at least at that time), in Lille, to be in capacity to continue alone.
My work is focused on human being, derisory and fascinating subject, prisoner of his extreme solitude and his deep incapacity to communicate beyond the appearances, what I try to capture in fleetings moments. Contrasts are sometimes exaggerated, in opposition to this smooth and drab world. No need to look for inspiration farther when we know how to see, without understanding it necessarily, the inexhaustible part of mystery in everyone, all what is able to reveal, for example, a simple hat or a lonely man seen from the back.
I try to keep this guideline, but I don’t refrain to others experiments to not lock myself into a strict univocity, what I consider as escapes.
