Biography
Busato Graphic Art workshop was founded in October 1946 by Ottorino Busato. He decided to open his own workshop after working from 1924 in several important Venetian Graphic Art workshops. There were no secrets to him in the world of graphic art printing and he transferred all his knowledge to his sons. Combined with technical perfection there were also a complete understanding between the Graphic Art printmaker and the artist, an essential element to realize what the work of art wants to express.
This was the begining. Towards the mid of sixties was the most fruitful stage of workshop; it had as prime figures Neri Pozza and Tono Zancanaro, whit which Giuliano Busato, that followed his father, developed a deep relationship, artist - Graphic Art printmaker. In the following years other Italian and foreign artists joined the workshop: Arman, Attardi, Brindisi, Calabrò, Guidi, Guttuso, Levi, Licata, Maccari, Mattioli, Murer, Treccani, Viani, Zotti etc.
At the moment the workshop, arrived Giancarlo Busato to the third generation, continues the family tradition, collaborating with different Italian and foreign Academies of Fine Arts and it became a landmark for many young promising artists which all contributed to a realization of one of the most important Graphic Art ateliers in Italy
